Terms of Use
Last updated: .
These terms describe the rules for using NetzMate to find tennis partners in Austria and communicate with other players.
1. About NetzMate
NetzMate provides player profiles, search, favorites, and messaging. It is a platform for making connections, not a tennis club, coaching service, court-booking service, or organizer of matches.
The operator's identity and contact details are available on the Privacy page.
2. Your account
Provide accurate information about yourself, including your birth date, city, and playing level, and keep your profile up to date. Do not impersonate another person or create an account on their behalf without authorization.
Use an email address you control. Keep login links and verification codes private, and protect access to your email account. Contact support if you suspect someone else has accessed your NetzMate account.
Email verification confirms access to a mailbox; it is not a check of a player's identity, background, or tennis ability.
3. Respectful and lawful use
Use NetzMate for genuine tennis-related connections. You must not:
- Harass, threaten, discriminate against, deceive, or sexually exploit another person.
- Send spam, scams, unsolicited advertising, or repeated unwanted messages.
- Share unlawful content, malware, or material that infringes another person's rights.
- Publish someone else's private information or messages without permission or another lawful basis.
- Scrape or harvest player information, access another person's account, or disrupt the service.
- Bypass login protections, chat-request requirements, another player's block, or an account ban.
4. Profiles, photos, and messages
You remain responsible for the content you provide. Only upload photos and other material you have the right to share, and respect the privacy of anyone shown or mentioned.
You retain your rights in your content. By submitting it, you permit NetzMate to store, process, and display it only as needed to provide the relevant features, such as showing your profile to other players or delivering a message to its recipient.
Profile information and external profile links are supplied by players. NetzMate does not guarantee that they are accurate, current, or endorsed by a tennis association.
5. Arranging a game and staying safe
Players arrange games directly with each other. Agree on the time, venue, court fees, and any cancellation arrangements before meeting. NetzMate does not make bookings or handle payments between players.
Use your own judgment when meeting someone, choose a public tennis venue, and avoid sharing sensitive information unnecessarily. Consider your fitness, ability, and the conditions before playing. Contact the emergency services if there is an immediate threat to safety.
NetzMate cannot guarantee a suitable partner, a reply, attendance, or another player's conduct.
6. Blocking, safety concerns, and account bans
You can require chat requests for new conversations in account settings. New requests must include an introductory message, visible to the recipient before acceptance. If accepted, it becomes the first chat message; no further messages can be sent before acceptance. Existing active chats are unaffected. Pending requests still need a decision if you turn the setting off. A declined request can be sent again after seven days, but repeated unwanted contact is prohibited.
You can block a player to stop contact through NetzMate. Blocking hides your profiles from each other and prevents messaging; it does not erase existing records or copies already received.
Send reports of abuse or unlawful content to netzmate.support@gmail.com, with enough information to identify the account or content and explain your concern.
The operator may restrict or ban an account for serious or repeated breaches of these rules, unlawful activity, or threats to other players or the service. A banned account cannot sign in or use the app. If you believe a ban is a mistake, contact support to request a review.
7. Free use and optional donations
NetzMate is currently free to use. Donations through the linked PayPal service are optional and do not buy an account, additional features, or preferential treatment. PayPal's own terms and privacy notice apply to its payment service.
8. Leaving NetzMate and personal data
You can stop using NetzMate at any time and delete your account in account settings. Account deletion removes your account and associated chats, messages, and chat requests from the application's database, including those conversations for the other participant.
Deletion does not recall emails or remove copies someone has already received. See the Privacy page for details about personal data, visibility, retention, and your rights.
9. Availability and your legal rights
The service may be interrupted by maintenance, technical problems, or circumstances outside the operator's control. Continuous availability and error-free operation are not guaranteed.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where that would be unlawful, or removes any mandatory rights you have under applicable law.
10. Updates and questions
Revised terms will be published on this page with an updated date. Publishing a revision does not by itself replace any notice or agreement required by applicable law.
